Scope
RFIDsec is the earliest workshop devoted to security and privacy in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). Starting in 2005, RFIDsec is today the reference workshop in the RFID field with partipants from all over the world. RFIDsec aims to bridge the gap between cryptographic researchers and RFID developers through invited talks and contributed presentations. Two third of the attendees so come from academia while the rest come from industry.
The workshop focuses on approaches to solve security and data-protection issues in advanced contactless technologies. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- New applications for secure RFID systems
- Privacy-enhancing techniques for RFID
- Cryptographic protocols for RFID
- Integration of secure RFID systems
- Cryptographic algorithms for constrained environments
Since 2010, proceedings of the workshop are published by Springer-Verlag in the series LNCS.
Next Edition
The 8th edition of RFIDsec will take place in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, on July 1 - 3, 2012. The submission deadline will be around March 2012. More information can be obtained on the website of RFIDsec 2012.
